I am a full-time instructor in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric and Digital Studies at the University of Kentucky (UK). I earned my Ph.D. in English with a dissertation titled “Where We Belong: Spatial Imagining in American Women’s Life Narratives, 1859-1912.” Prior to my doctoral studies at UK, I completed my BA in American Studies at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, and earned my MA, also in English, from the University of Vermont. Currently, as I teach writing, rhetoric and inquiry in my composition and communication courses, I continue to expand my research on spatiality of belonging.
